Next Free Training Call: February 15 at 8pm Eastern
Would You Like To Learn My BEST Strategies To Get 3, 5 or even 10 Clients THIS Month?
Over the past year, I’ve become known as the “go-to” gal for spiritual women entrepreneurs who are ready to stop struggling and and get a flood of clients NOW.
Why? Because I know the path all too well! Back when I was first starting out, I spent 2 YEARS floundering and nearly quit!
Then I made the decision to focus on the shortest, simplest and fastest path to enrolling clients who truly valued me and were ready to change their lives.
Result? 9 clients (and $20k in biz!) in 30 days… a 6-figure business within the year… and thousands of women transformed through my work.
That experience is the “big why” behind my work with so many Divine Feminine Entrepreneurs… and my latest brand new NO-COST training call:
“Your 5 Best Strategies For Effortlessly Enrolling
3… 5… Or Even 10 Clients In The Next 30 Days”
(Even if you’ve tried everything, or are just starting out!)
Happening TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 15 at 8pm ET / 5pm PT
In this no-cost, content-RICH training call, you’ll learn:
- The #1 mistake both new and seasoned spiritual solopreneurs make that cost them tens of thousands of dollars in lost time and income
- The 3 limiting beliefs that keep most spiritual solopreneurs stuck at frustratingly LOW income levels (I practically guarantee you’re telling yourself at least one of these)
- The #1 reason why most spiritual solopreneurs can’t “close the deal” (this one will surprise you!)
- A powerful OVERLOOKED tool for quickly filling your programs (do this and you’ll hang up the “SOLD OUT” sign in half the time – did I mention that it’s completely free?)
- How to eliminate frustrating client excuses like “I can’t afford it” and “I don’t have time” – without saying a word (forget pushy or sales-y – you don’t have to say anything to use this simple yet powerful secret)
- My 5 best strategies for enrolling 3… 5… even 10 clients in 30 days – even if you’re starting from scratch
I’m known for giving away a TON of actionable content, especially on this important topic. Many of my clients BECAME clients because they took action on something I taught them in a complimentary resource like this one, got clients, and created money. (How cool is that?!)
That’s why I urge you to reserve your spot on this call NOW while it’s fresh in your mind:
If for some reason you can’t make it, don’t worry – I’ll send you the recording.
bright blessings, massive success and LOVE

Skip the fear, go straight into action
Straight up: I’ve been feeling a lot of fear lately. (Surprised?)
Now, I’m not talking about wigging out over money or the economy or anything like that. (Nor am I partaking of doomsday/armageddon scenarios, despite being caught in my first-ever California earthquake a couple of weeks ago. *laugh*)
I’m talking about the kind of fear that comes with taking that whole “putting myself out there in a BIG way” thing to the next level.
2010 has turned into a year of massive personal and professional growth. On top of all that, I’m preparing for a major life change – leaving my beloved Northeast for a new city that’s completely across the country.
I’ve had more than a few people suggest that I pull back a little and take it slow. But I’ve chosen to do exactly the opposite – to not walk but RUN to the other side of my fear (and the next level) by taking massive action. The pipeline for the next 90 days includes…
- A complete overhaul of MarketingGoddess.com.. and the announcement of a brand NEW platform that I will be launching soon. It’s a project that is near and dear to me and gets to the core of my calling. It has also been in the works (and in my head) for a loooong time. I’m very excited (and more than a little nervous!)
- A lot more “getting out there” to coincide with the new websites as I seek to actively grow the Marketing Goddess circle for the first time. (We’ve been growing steadily all along, but it’s time for a little intentional listbuilding!)
- The announcement of my upcoming Platinum group coaching program to start in mid-summer
Notice that NONE of the above is busywork, worrying or “marketing churning.” Believe me, the fear is there! But instead of letting it stop me, I’ve decided to focus on moving forward. And here’s the crazy part…
… the fear is actually starting to let up – a LOT. (Action conquers fear – who knew?)
Here’s what I’ve learned that I’d like to share with you…
When we’re in the thick of it, we don’t realize that just on the other side of the fear is all the good stuff that we want. And that all we need to do to get a little relief from the fear is to tell that part of us that’s wired for survival, “Thank you, but I’ve got it handled”… and move on.
My coach’s request to you is to notice where you’re feeling fear this week. Instead of giving in and staying stuck, gently inform the fear that you’ve got it handled. And take the next bold step towards your goal. Bright blessings and massive success to you…
Are Your Clients Missing Out Because You’re A Marketing Perfectionist?
My friend and colleague Helen Graves of CrackerJack Online Marketing has a saying that I just love. “Imperfect action beats perfect inaction every time.”
I love it because the idea of “perfect inaction” totally cracks me up. I mean, really – when you really think about it, “perfect inaction” is pretty ridiculous, no? And also because it speaks to a challenge that just about all of us spirited, heart-centered entrepreneurs have struggled with: waiting until something is perfect before taking action. (Also known as “the perfectionist trap”.)
Helen also calls it the “just one more” cycle. Just one more tweak to the website, just one more training, just one more revision, just one more whatever until… your program, your product, or your marketing is finally ready “for prime time” and you can get out there and get results.
Here’s the thing about the perfectionist trap and the “just one more” cycle. Not only is there always “one more,” the reality is you’ll discover the tweaks that actually matter only AFTER you bring “your baby” into the world.
More importantly, when you’re stuck in the perfectionist trap, you’re not helping clients. You’re not changing lives. You’re not having an impact. You’re not living your dream. (That’s a pretty high price to pay, no?)
Bottom line: When you’re a marketing perfectionist, your clients are missing out… and so are you. Here are some simple tips that make taking purposeful, impactful, and yes, imperfect action a snap…
1. Focus on one thing at a time. You may have heard about what I like to call “the power of one” or “the rule of one” in marketing. Just as you will get much better results when you make only ONE offer at a time (because a confused mind always says no), you’ll fly by the stumbling blocks in your marketing tasks when you focus and just get ‘er done.
2. Break it down. Find yourself in a project that’s even mildly big, let’s say, and what’s the first thing that happens? Well, if you’re like most entrepreneurs (me included), you get overwhelmed. Perfection follows overwhelm, just as sure as night follows day. And then you’re stuck. Yuck! Instead, break it down into small chunks and focus on the chunks. Success creates momentum and leads to more success, so be sure to celebrate each one!
3. Realize that nobody is looking at this thing as closely as you are. When I was a little girl, I used to live in mortal fear of being publicly scolded or called out – like if I was talking too loudly in class, say. I have a voice that carries, and often adults would tell me that I was “too loud.” I would be so embarrassed, so humiliated! And then I realized that the kids in my class were waaay too busy passing notes and snapping rubber bands at each other to even notice the teacher “yelled” at me.
The truth is, nobody looks as closely at your stuff as you do. Yes, your clients take note… but 9 times out of 10, the those little niggling things YOU notice are not the ones THEY notice. Which leads me to the next point…
4. Choose to view your project as an opportunity to get valuable feedback from the people who matter most. If there’s one thing that never, ever ceases to amaze me, it’s that the feedback I get from my clients is rarely what I expect. You will learn so much from “getting it out there” that you ever will from hanging out in your own head, churning over how to make something perfect.
Instead of sweating the details, choose to focus on how cool it’s going to be when you get real feedback from real clients… which you can then use to make the next go-round even more life-changing for them.
5. Get in touch with your why. Remember, you’re not in business just for the heck of it – there’s a reason why it’s so important to you. For many of us soul-centered business owners, it’s about living our purpose: making a difference for our clients and the world while creating a lifestyle that truly supports us. Every project you complete pulls you forward, no matter how it turns out! Your “why” is so much bigger… and so much more important… than any tiny imperfection.

More Business Is Yours For The Asking (But You Have To Ask!)
So you talk about your biz with anyone who will listen, Tweet up a storm about your stuff and “get out there” all the time. But the results aren’t showing up for you (yet!). What gives?
If you were a client in one of my programs, I’d gently ask, “So are you asking for the business?”
More clients are yours for the asking, but you have to ask! You have to be very explicit about what the next step is, and yes, you have to ask your peeps to take it. In copywriting, it’s called a call to action: click here to order, sign up, book a session, or whatever your offer may be.
Now if this feels weird or pushy to you, let me assure you… asking them doesn’t mean chasing them! It just means you’re making it easy.
Take a minute now and put yourself in your client’s well-worn shoes. Maybe she’s looking at your website after a long day. She’s exhausted but the client magnet copy on your site catches her interest and she thinks, “Hrm.” She glances around for a way to contact you…. but the link is buried away somewhere. She really is interested but… it all seems like too much effort right now. (Sound familiar?) There goes someone you might have been able to help. Tragic!
Asking also makes it easy for your clients because follow-up is YOUR job, not theirs. If they’ve worked with you before and gotten great results (and even better, had a great experience in the process), chances are very good they’ll want to come back for more. But it’s not their job to be checking back with you to see if you have something new. Instead, it’s YOUR job to make life easy by checking in with them from time to time to say, “Don’t know if you’ll be interested, but I just wanted to let you know about [X].”
Several months ago now, I got a funny reminder of this myself when I was on the phone with MY coach. I reported that I’d just put together some brand spankin’ new coaching packages that I was VERY excited about, and within a few days, I’d had conversations about them with 2 potential clients who had come to ME after seeing some of my recent marketing.
He said, “You have a list of past clients and students who have taken classes with you, right?”
Me: “Right.”
Him: “So have you picked up the phone and started inviting people?”
I had to laugh. (This right here is a great example of why it’s so important to have a coach, by the way.)
Here are 5 places to boldly ask for the next step:
1. On your website. You should have a call to action on EVERY page. Yes, every page! If it’s not a page where your clients order a specific product or service, your call to action should be, “Here’s how to contact me.”
2. In your newsletter. Your newsletter is a value exchange. In exchange for providing great content, you get to let your readers know about your products and services. Always promote something in your newsletter, and include an explicit call to action to invite your readers to go to a page where they can find out more.
3. In your promotions. Double-check that your order links work and that it’s very clear what action you wish your readers to take.
4. At the end of a conversation. If you’ve connected with someone, be sure to ask “May I get your card and follow up with you?” If you’re talking to a client about signing up for your service, an authentic way to boldly ask for the business without pushing is to ask, “So is this something you’d like to move forward with?” (I LOVE this question!)
5. In a follow-up. If they’re not ready to move forward now, ask, “When would be a good time to check in again?” If you’re still in the “getting to know you” stage and business isn’t on the table yet, a great invitation is “May I invite you to receive my newsletter?” (Compare this to “Can I add you to my newsletter?”)
The more often you ask for business, the more business you’ll receive. (Another way to think of it: “If you never ask, the answer is always no.”) Train yourself to boldly and authentically ask for business as a matter of course, and soon you’ll have more than you can handle.
Need more help on boldly asking for the business, especially in a potential client conversation? Make sure you’re on my next f’r'ee training call on November 16 with my friend Helen Graves, where she will share simple, practical tips on how to transform interested potential clients into happily invested, high-paying clients. The Credibility Booster Nobody Talks About
I hear it all the time from new business owners. “I just finished my training and I don’t have any clients. I don’t have any ‘real’ experience and I don’t have any testimonials. Why would anyone hire me?”
Answer: Because you can help them!
If you’ve taken action on your commitment and are ready to “put yourself out there” as a professional, you know more about your specialty than 99.9% of the rest of the world. You’ve had training, undoubtedly you’ve performed your service and you’ve devoted a considerable amount of time, energy and attention to your area of expertise already.
(And let’s call it expertise, OK? Why wait for someone ELSE to anoint you on the head and deem you “enough” of anything? Walking your talk starts with how you view yourself.)
Lots of factors can create credibility for you. Your training, for one. The experience you DO have that’s relevant to what you do for others. One that most people don’t consider is… your marketing!
Your ability to clearly state the problems, your solutions, who you work with, and more… putting it in writing, such as on your website… sharing valuable information about your area of expertise in articles and free reports… teaching in teleclasses and workshops … all of these things create a great deal of credibility for you. And they’re all marketing!
Credibility is simply the demonstration that you are honorable, trustworthy, you know what you say you know, and you can do what you say you can do. Like so much of your marketing, your credibility is within your control. (Or you get to pick, as I like to say!) You can do all of the above (and so much more) on your own initiative.
And think about it… If you were looking to hire someone like you and you didn’t know any of your choices personally, which would you find more credible? Someone with impeccable marketing, who is active and speaking out and sharing freely, or someone who doesn’t?
What’s more, were you choosing a service provider yourself, you’d also probably discover that there are certain people you are drawn towards over others, regardless of how long they’ve been in business or how many testimonials they have on their website. I call this “the energy factor.” As in, “I love your energy, I want to work with you!”
Sometimes your clients will respond to your energy most of all. If they don’t know you personally, where do they get this energy to pick up on? Your marketing! Which is one of the reasons why infusing your marketing with YOU – your personality, your stories, your brilliance – works so well.
Yes, you absolutely have to demonstrate that you know your stuff “in the real world,” by working with clients and getting results. Creating credibility is an ongoing process – it never stops! Start with your training, the experience you DO have… and your marketing.
