Spirit Rich Entrepreneur Spotlight: Dinah Daniel

“My clients are happy to pay me – without question.”

Dinah Daniel:

Before working with Elizabeth, I was feeling sluggish about my direction, not really knowing what or which road to take. I knew I wanted to create a business that combined my two passions, art and aromatherapy, but I had no idea what it would look like. It got to the point where I debated whether to pursue my business (and my life purpose) or go get part-time a job.

Elizabeth helped me untangle all the different options, make a decision on my life purpose direction AND create a plan to bring my dream business into being. During our work together, I also went through some very big personal shifts, including ending my long-term relationship. Elizabeth’s support was invaluable to keep me moving forward on my business, even during difficult times.

Now, clients are coming to me for guidance on their path. I have a beautiful office space that is perfect for my client consultations, and other practitioners are asking me to offer my services in their facilities as well. I have a system that my clients love and they are happy to pay me for my sessions without question.

With Elizabeth’s support, I now know what I need to succeed – I have the tools and know how to implement them! Best of all, I’ve found my purpose in life and have stepped into it. My vision for my business and life are large and I am finally becoming comfortable in taking up the space that I deserve.

Can It REALLY Be Possible To Get 10 Clients In 30 Days?

“Can it REALLY be possible to get 10 ideal, high-paying clients in 30 days?”

The answer is YES! For years I flailed around in my business, struggling to attract clients and always stressed out about money. Finally, I decided to drop everything I was “supposed” to be doing (that wasn’t working) like a hot potato and created my own system to enroll ideal, high-paying clients quickly.

And that’s the step-by-step system I’ll be sharing with you on my latest free training call…

On the call, I’ll share…

* Why sinking too much time into marketing can actually KEEP you from getting clients (I’ll show you where to focus your time first and foremost to make you irresistible to the right peeps)

* The truth about where your clients REALLY come from (hint: it’s definitely NOT where most struggling entrepreneurs put their focus, and it’s great news for big-hearted people like you!)

* The 5 sneakiest limiting beliefs that keep spiritual entrepreneurs from getting all the clients they’re meant to serve

* My word-for-word script that instantly removes all traces of tension around “is she going to sell me something?” and gives you complete permission to openly and confidently share your services during a potential client conversation

* A powerful OVERLOOKED tool for quickly filling your programs (do this and you’ll hang up the “SOLD OUT” sign in half the time – did I mention that it’s completely free?)

* My simple 4-step system to enroll 3… 7… even 10 clients in 30 days – even if you’re starting from scratch

Please join me, okay? Because whether you’re in that scary place of needing clients YESTERDAY (like I was) or just want to enroll more high-quality clients with a lot less effort, I’d love to show you how. :)

The 1 Thing You MUST Do To Get More Clients

So you talk about your biz with anyone who will listen, Tweet up a storm about your stuff and “get out there” all the time. But the results aren’t showing up for you (yet!). What gives?

If you were a client in one of my programs, I’d gently ask, “So are you asking for the business?”

More clients are yours for the asking, but you have to ask! You have to be very explicit about what the next step is, and yes, you have to ask your peeps to take it. In copywriting, it’s called a call to action: click here to order, sign up, book a session, or whatever your offer may be.

Now if this feels weird or pushy to you, let me assure you… asking them doesn’t mean chasing them! It just means you’re making it easy.

Take a minute now and put yourself in your client’s well-worn shoes. Maybe she’s looking at your website after a long day. She’s exhausted but the client magnet copy on your site catches her interest and she thinks, “Hrm.” She glances around for a way to contact you…. but the link is buried away somewhere. She really is interested but… it all seems like too much effort right now. (Sound familiar?) There goes someone you might have been able to help. Tragic!

Asking also makes it easy for your clients because follow-up is YOUR job, not theirs. If they’ve worked with you before and gotten great results (and even better, had a great experience in the process), chances are very good they’ll want to come back for more. But it’s not their job to be checking back with you to see if you have something new. Instead, it’s YOUR job to make life easy by checking in with them from time to time to say, “Don’t know if you’ll be interested, but I just wanted to let you know about [X].”

I once got a funny reminder of this myself when I was on the phone with MY coach. I reported that I’d just put together some brand spankin’ new coaching packages that I was VERY excited about, and within a few days, I’d had conversations about them with 2 potential clients who had come to me after seeing some of my recent marketing.

He said, “You have a list of past clients and students who have taken classes with you, right?”

Me: “Right.”

Him: “So have you picked up the phone and started inviting people?”

I had to laugh. (This right here is a great example of why it’s so important to have a coach, by the way.)

Here are 5 places to boldly ask for the next step:

1. On your website. You should have a call to action on EVERY page. Yes, every page! If it’s not a page where your clients order a specific product or service, your call to action should be, “Here’s how to contact me.”

2. In your newsletter. Your newsletter is a value exchange. In exchange for providing great content, you get to let your readers know about your products and services. Always promote something in your newsletter, and include an explicit call to action to invite your readers to go to a page where they can find out more.

3. In your promotions. Double-check that your order links work and that it’s very clear what action you wish your readers to take.

4. At the end of a conversation. If you’ve connected with someone, be sure to ask “May I get your card and follow up with you?” If you’re talking to a client about signing up for your service, an authentic way to boldly ask for the business without pushing is to ask, “So is this something you’d like to move forward with?” (I LOVE this question!)

5. In a follow-up. If they’re not ready to move forward now, ask, “When would be a good time to check in again?” If you’re still in the “getting to know you” stage and business isn’t on the table yet, a great invitation is “May I invite you to receive my newsletter?” (Compare this to “can I add you to my newsletter?”)

The more often you ask for business, the more business you’ll receive. (Another way to think of it: “If you never ask, the answer is always no.”) Train yourself to boldly and authentically ask for business as a matter of course, and soon you’ll have more than you can handle.

The wealth creation secret of the 21st century

You’ve probably heard that one of the “main ingredients” in creating a joyful, abundant business and lifestyle is your ability to receive.

Now, if you’re anything like I was not so long ago, when the mentors and self-help peeps start in on the receiving thing, perhaps your instinct is to say something like, “Yeah, that’s great.  While I’m waiting for the receiving faery to drop by, I’ll be over here… you know, working.”

Like most women, I had my natural, Divine Feminine ability to receive beaten out of me at a young age.  It took me a while to really get the importance of receiving, and even longer to actually change my behavior around it.

One of my favorite multi-millionaire mentors, Eben Pagan, has a beautiful way of looking at receiving.  According to Eben, receiving is the wealth creation secret of the 21st century.”

As women on the path of spiritual entrepreneurship, we must reclaim our natural ability to receive.  For 99.999% of us, that means we have to practice.  So where do you start?

  • Being willing to receive support from friends, family, significant others, and people who are there to serve you. One of my mentors tells the story of her personal turning point: when a kid offered to carry her groceries and she decided to let him.
  • Being willing to receive support from top notch team members.
  • Being willing to graciously receive a compliment. If you have a hard time with this at first, remember that reflecting or dismissing compliments actually disrespects the giver.  (This shouldn’t be your only motivation for accepting them, of course, but use it as a place to start if receiving compliments is difficult for you!)
  • Being willing to receive coaching from experienced mentors.
  • Being willing to receive higher fees from better clients. The money you receive in your business represents your client’s commitment to you, to what you do, and their own transformation.
  • Being willing to receive a beautiful environment. Recently I made the decision that I would always have fresh roses and candles in my office.  How can you uplevel your surroundings?

Note that many of these receivings do involve releasing money into the world – otherwise known as investing in yourself.  Clinging tightly to money, micro-managing money and telling yourself “I can’t afford it” constantly is another expression of the withholding pattern.

Instead, decide what you CAN do, starting wherever you are.  But start.  (Those fresh roses in my office?  I get ‘em at my local supermarket, $10 for a dozen.  And they last at least a week – hello, how cool is that?!)

My coach’s request to you this week is to consciously practice receiving at least 3 times over the next 7 days.  Make sure at least one of those practices involves receiving some of your own energy back in the form of money.  You are worth it!

Bright blessings and massive success to you…

3 Ways To Sell More… Without Actually Selling

It’s no secret that spiritual entrepreneurs are often uncomfortable with selling.  But what they usually don’t realize is that there’s sooo much more to making a spirit rich sale than that pivotal moment when an excited client says “yes!”

The sales process is actually a sales cycle. At any given time, a thriving business will have interested potential clients at different points in the cycle.

For example, there’s the person who has just “met” you, through your website or social media, and is now getting to know you through your newsletter and marketing.  Then there’s the person who has been following you for a while and is ready to take the next step (which could be speaking with you, or enrolling in an online class.)  Or the client who met you at a live event and signs up for a high-end program a week later!

Why is it so important to understand the rhythms of the sales cycle? Because by giving attention to all parts of the cycle, the “money conversation” becomes easier, more natural, and not “sales-y” in the slightest.

Here, then, are 3 key actions you can take to pave the way for “sales-y”-free, spirit rich selling:

1. Proudly display your success stories. It’s no accident that you see a spotlight on one of my successful clients in just about every issue of my newsletter.  Success stories are a beautiful thing because not only do they give your clients the opportunity to celebrate their success in a public way, they also help answer the question that is on every potential client’s mind: “Will this work for me?”

Success stories show your clients-to-be what’s possible for them when they work with you and answer unconscious objections in advance.  So when they finally reach out to work with you, many of their “yeah but”s will have already melted away.

2. Seed, seed, seed. Seeding is strategically “dropping hints” (about clients, cool things you’re up to, and forthcoming offers) throughout all of your marketing, including your articles, blog posts, Tweets, free calls and more.  When done well, seeding creates a desire in potential clients and anticipation for your new programs.  Best of all, great seeding is like openly sharing something you are truly excited about, and carries none of that icky bragging or high-pressure sales energy.

3. Give great service – before they sign on to work with you. When someone emails you asking about your services, what happens?  How you show up with clients before they say yes to you is sending a loud and clear message of the experience they will have when they do work with you.  Do you answer emails promptly?  Who answers?  What’s the system to handle requests from new clients?  How do you handle client care of existing clients?  This will determine if they continue with you.

Dropping the ball on client care is yet another form of pesky self-sabotage and hiding out.  (I know because this used to be me.)  This doesn’t mean you have to be perfect!  But you do have to set your standards high and make a commitment to them.

BONUS TIP: Alignment, otherwise known as “walking your talk.” Your clients want to see that you embody what you teach!  Again, you don’t have to be perfect – for one thing, the Capital-W-Work is never done, right?  But you do have to be on the path, and honoring your commitment to that path by continuously growing and moving forward in whatever area of transformation you bring to your clients.

Remember, for the spiritual entrepreneur or change agent, selling is really about service and transformation. Giving generous attention to the sales cycle, especially to the areas before the actual sale, supports both you AND your clients in creating what you want in the world.
