10+ Places To Find Your Next 10 Clients

Whether you’re just starting out or you’re a bona fide holistic health empire builder, having a steady stream of paying clients flowing into your biz is crucial to your success!

But here’s the problem…most holistic health and wellness practitioners make getting clients a much bigger deal than it needs to be. Attracting clients is actually a pretty simple process, and potential clients are literally waiting for you EVERYWHERE.

Here’s the bottom line: people are happy to invest in you and your holistic services IF you are crystal clear – and CONFIDENT – about how you can solve their problem.

That means you have to do 3 simple things: 1) focus in on a lucrative niche, 2) make sure you can clearly articulate the problems you solve in language your niche can connect to and 3) create a step-by-step system you take your clients through to get results.

Once you’ve got those three steps in place, then you can literally find clients on the street corner…in fact, they’ll be banging down your door!

To help  you find your next 10 clients FAST, here are 10+ places to connect with potential clients…these are the same places I used to leap from frustrating low 5-figures to 6-figures in just a few short months. And I STILL use these resources, so you know they work!

1. Current Clients: Nobody loves you more than the people who are already working with you. Offer referral and bring-a-friend incentives to encourage your clients to refer.

2. Past Clients: If current clients love you the most, you past clients are next in line! Contact them with new programs so they can become clients again, or offer referral incentives.

3. Professional Groups: If you aren’t part of any professional groups, like associations, then find 1 or 2 where your ideal client might be hanging out. For example, is your ideal client a busy professional? Then start hanging out at SHRM (Society For Human Resource Management) events.

4. Networking Groups: I don’t love networking, and  you may not either. To both of us, let me just kindly say….get over it. If you don’t belong to networking groups to meet clients AND referral partners, join at least 2 asap.

5. Social Groups: Book clubs, hiking clubs, knitting circles….ideal clients and referrals to clients abound here! I spend most of my book club answering nutrition questions about the snacks people bring. Perfect!

6. Workshops and Seminars: Many of you are giving live workshops and seminars…and to you I say “YES!” Speaking live is a GREAT way to connect with people. Be sure, though, to keep your eye on the prize. The purpose of a workshop or seminar is not to teach a ton and hand out a business card and then cross your fingers…it’s to actively get people enrolled in a consultation or a program with you, or to get them on your email list.

7. Your Email List: Speaking of your email list, if you keep in regular contact with them, share information about your life, give great tips and consistently ask them to TAKE ACTION, your email list will become a MONEY MACHINE. Building and connecting to your email list may be the single most important thing you do to get clients and build your business.

8. Social Networking: Millions of your ideal clients are eagerly awaiting you on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube! If you don’t have profiles on each, set them up this weekend. And be sure that each profile is driving new prospects you meet to an opt-in page, where you give them a Free Gift and they give you their name and email address.

9. Radio, Newspapers, and TV: PR in radio, newspapers, magazines and TV help build your celebrity…and if you’re doing it right, they can help build your email list, too, where you can convert interested prospects into paying clients. Woo-hoo!!

10. Online Discussion Groups & Forums: Find out where your ideal clients “hang out” online, join those groups, and start asking questions to open discussions about problems that you can solve. After you’ve given value and gotten to know the group, invite members into consultations, programs or products.

11. Alumni Groups: Stay in contact with your high school, college, or grad school alunmni groups. Attend events or post on forums.

12. Your Peers: Most holistic health and wellness pros don’t think about this group, but if you’re a holistic health and wellness coach, then you need your own holistic health and wellness coach! I’ve worked with a nutrition coach myself. Asking yourself how you can serve and be a mentor in your community of holistic health and wellness practitioners.
