Do You Have An Irresistible Offer?
Ask most coaches, consultants and healers how they’re doing, and most will tell you that they don’t have the clients or the income that they want. Their work is transformative – even life-changing – and yet they struggle to gain commitment – that’s a yes – from new clients. (Anyone who has ever spent over an hour on the phone with a potential client only to hear “I have to think about it” can relate to this, I’m sure!)
Back when I was training to write copy, I studied with a lot of different mentors and teachers. One lesson stood out across the board (i.e., everyone taught it, usually first thing) and has stayed with me ’til this day:
“When it comes to sales, the WHAT and the WHO matter more than the copy.”
How does this relate to spirit-rich service business owners? Quite simply, how you package your services can make or break your opportunity to work with them. WHAT you offer to your clients matters, even more than what you SAY about your offer.

Of course, you do have to clearly communicate the value of your packages and programs to your potential clients, no question about that. But the gem of wisdom there is truly priceless: the right offer practically sells itself. Unfortunately, most service business owners don’t package their services in a way that’s really appealing to their clients. And so their clients invest rarely, if at all.
An irresistible offer, on the other hand, is irresistible for your clients AND for you. It’s something they really want AND is easy and fun for you to deliver. An irresistible offer leverages your time and energy, instead of draining both. Best of all, they’re simple to enroll.
It’s my deeply-held belief that every spirit-rich service business owner should have at least one irresistible offer. Here’s why…
1. Irresistible offers make it easy to your clients to get started with you. Great offers are easy to say YES to – indeed, we want to say yes to them! (Remember, your clients don’t like to be sold to, but they love to buy.) A yes from your clients is an opportunity – it’s their chance at a transformation. An irresistible offer makes it easy and safe for them to take that first step to the change they really want.
2. Irresistible offers help you serve more clients, and at a deeper level. Clearly, more YESes means you’re helping more people. Irresistible offers are priced based on value, not time, so when your clients say YES to that value, they are taking themselves and their transformation much more seriously than they would if they were just paying dollars for YOUR hours. Result? They get better results. (Another benefit: an irresistible offer is also an opportunity to go deeper with a client you’ve already worked with before.)
3. Irresistible offers put more mo-ney in your pocket. Of course, working with more clients at a deeper level will absolutely create more in-come for you. And that’s a blessing for you AND your clients. Why? When you’re supported financially, you’re emotionally and physically free to serve and support your clients even more.
You DON’T need to have all of your marketing ducks in a row to create irresistible offers. You don’t have to wait until your website is finished or that shiny new brochure is printed – you can put one together for the people in your network right now. All you need is a deep desire to work with your clients and help them create the transformation they seek… and a willingness to reach out to them.
Do YOU have an irresistible offer, an easy way for your clients to get started with you that’s a no-brainer? If not, you’ll definitely want to be on my upcoming call. You’ll get my 7 step system for creating your irresistible offer so you can generate cash quickly. Register here.

Are you playing “All or nothing” yet?
I don’t know if it’s the economic climate or what, but over the past few weeks I’ve been hearing a lot of entrepreneurs talk about what it really takes to be successful. You know, it’s that age-old question: why do some people achieve wild abundance and phenomenal success in their business while others do not?
After hearing the topic discussed for the zillionth time, I began to consider each of my mentors – the people I’ve learned from the most. (Some of them have helped me personally; others, I’ve so absorbed myself in their material that their mentorship feels personal even though we haven’t met face-to-face – yet.) And I noticed that every single one of them has one thing in common.
All of them made the decision to be successful. Not just any decision – an all or nothing decision.
When I look back on my own entrepreneurial journey so far, there are those moments that can only be described as true turning points – where from that moment on, nothing was the same. Each of those was an all-or-nothing decision. Every single one.
If you think this is just about entrepreneurship, think again. About a year ago, I was having coffee with one of my favorite people and mentors, an influential fantasy fiction editor and author who I have admired since I was a teenager.
I was telling her about all of my story ideas. I was also telling her all about my fears. Then she looked me in the eye and told me something I’ll never forget.
“Your apprenticeship is over. All it takes is a decision, so… just decide.”
I gulped. Talk about a kick in the pants! (And yes, I decided. Several decisions, actually.)
If you feel like you’re spinning your wheels, going around in circles, working like crazy and yet never moving forward in your business (or any other area of your life, for that matter)… you haven’t made a decision.
Making a decision does NOT mean that you no longer have issues or problems. It also does NOT mean that what you want will appear overnight. But making the decision DOES mean that you are moving forward. It means you can relax and enjoy the process, both the yummy stuff and the not-so-yummy growing pains stuff.
You can enjoy the journey! Because the decision is made.
Think of a problem that you’ve been struggling with that just doesn’t seem to want to go away. What’s the decision you’d like to make here? And what’s the bigger decision, a step or two up and away from day-to-day struggles, the one that is much closer to your heart’s true desire?
Bright blessings and massive success to you…
Your Marketing Checklist For A Profitable Fall
Fall is officially here, everyone’s getting back to business… and believe it or not (I’m not gonna say the “E” word), your clients are ready to do business. They need support with whatever they’ve got going on, and they’re willing to spend money to get it. But will they spend it with you?
Of course, we want that answer to be a resounding YES! Thing is, if you’re not prepared, the opportunities to bring in new business will slip right through your fingers. That’s why it’s the perfect time to get back to marketing basics and cover your bases. Here’s a handy checklist of what you should have in place to make the most of the fall season.
1. Make sure you can clearly communicate WHAT you do and WHO you do it for. Pop quiz: what’s your answer to the perennial question, “So what do you do?” If it’s a little shaky, now is the time to tighten it up a bit. Make sure your “So what do you do?” statements are in language that is simple and easy for everyone to understand – no jargon. Make sure you have them down so that the right one rolls off your tongue when the question is asked.
Remember, your business grows as you grow, and “what you do” will always shift and change. So should your marketing message! If you’ve been channeling the same answer for years, it’s time to revisit.
2. Get in some face time. Trust and relationships are of the utmost importance to your profitability right now, and nothing beats face-to-face meeting for developing both. My coach’s request to you: get thee to some networking events! If you hate networking events (and believe me, I get it – I certainly used to), think of these gatherings as opportunities to connect and share, not schmooze.
Of course, as with all of your marketing strategies, you’ll want to select your events carefully because your time is your most important resource. Choose the events that will connect you with potential clients and partners, and that you think you would enjoy. (Speaking of things you enjoy, places where you already hang out can be some of the best places to make connections, so be present to the networking opportunities that are around you all the time.)
Lastly, the fall seminar season is upon us. Don’t miss the big events in your industry as they are the perfect place to begin lucrative, long-term relationships with movers and shakers.
3. Perfect your follow-up. If you don’t have a system for following up with all of the people you meet, now is the time to start. I’m not talking about your email newsletter here, though you should have one too (yes, as of this writing, I firmly believe that some sort of ezine is not optional). I’m talking about a system to follow up with people who you have met in person and who have expressed interest in working with you now or in the future.
Making the transition from “someone you met at an event” to a client requires reaching out (read: picking up the phone), finding out what’s going on and how you can help. How you set the tone in the beginning, both at the initial meeting and with your follow-up has everything to do with who becomes a client and who doesn’t!
4. Create your Bold Money Goal! Do you know how much money you would like to create in the next 90 days? If not, it’s time to decide! Your Bold Money Goal will help you get very clear on what activities deserve your precious time and what you can let go of. Be very clear as to the amount you wish to make AND what the money is FOR.
5. Create a plan for bringing in new business. It’s all well and good to set a goal, but if there’s no way for that money to get to you, it won’t. When creating a Bold Money Goal, I always create the channels by which the money can come in, as well as setting the goal. What programs will I offer? Who in my current list of contacts would be a great fit for those offerings? How many clients would I like to work with, and is that congruent with my goal?
Notice that my website is nowhere to be found on that list! If you can speak your message clearly (#1) and stay in conversation with your peeps (#2 and #3), you can bring in new business and income immediately. (Curious? For more on creating a plan to meet your Bold Money Goals keep your eyes open for my next free teleseminar call, to be announced this week.)
